Tired of the same ol' same ol'?

Most people live,
whether physically,
intellectually or morally,

in a self-inflicted
box of restriction.
They make little use
of their resources and
 potential.

Fed up with your lifestyle?  Tired of the same old routine?  What does it take to actualize the life you see in your dreams?  Well, stop right there.  All the good stuff starts in your mind as thoughts.  That's true.  If you can imagine it - you are half way there.  And most importantly . . . do you believe in your dreams and fantasies?

A thought or a carefully orchestrated series of thoughts has a significant impact on your mind, body and your emotions.  This is no breakthrough as many of us have read, heard, or witnessed this statement.  However, many of us forget.

Thoughts cause responses in the body.  Most people's salivary glands respond to the very thought of sucking on a lemon.  For some people, thinking about the sound of fingernails on a chalkboard is very uncomfortable.

Thoughts influence the emotions.  Think of someone or something you love.  What do you feel?  Now think of something you hate.  What do you feel?  You don't have to change your emotions - you just have to change your thoughts and your emotions follow along.

Positive thoughts (joy, happiness, fulfillment, achievement, worthiness) have positive results - enthusiasm, calm, well-being, ease, energy, love).  Negative thoughts (judgment, unworthiness, mistrust, resentment, fear) produce negative results (tension, anxiety, alienation, anger, fatigue).

Our thoughts create our reality.  Maybe not instantly - but eventually.  Wherever we put our focus - our  inner and outer vision - is where we tend to go.

Words are just as powerful.  Listen to yourself as you speak.  Note the times you allow your words to limit you:

 "I can't take this anymore!"  - "I'll never be happy." - " I'll always be alone." - "This is killing me." -  "I can't." -   "It's never going to happen." -  "It's impossible." - etc.

If you say something that is negative  - quickly say "cancel" to offset the energy.  Then say something you really mean!

Each person has his/her own issues.  A sample dialogue may be as follows:

Now imagine your favorite place in nature . . . a beach, a meadow, a mountaintop.  Feel the sun in your face.  Smell the air.  Feel "at one" with creation.  Notice how relaxed you've become.

Maybe this will be the day, the week, the month, the year you finally break out of the box.

Habits are hard to break.  Even the ones we know are negative and harmful.  Ask any smoker.

Saying goodbye may even be harder.  Yet, this is a lifetime of goodbyes.  As the years pass, you will say goodbye to people, lifestyles, things, memories, etc.  If you don't - you may never get out of your rut.  Learning to let go is very important.

Listen to your heart.  Acknowledge your desires. Then initiate a  plan towards your vision.  Make the commitment!

Stop compromising and making excuses.  Be true to yourself.

Always forgive your enemies -
nothing annoys them so much.
Oscar Wilde

Avoid qualifying your happiness with the condition that you must have someone or something first.  Find happiness within just being wonderful YOU.

Don't forget to keep active.  Exercise, dance,  and physical activity will keep your energy at a high level!
