A NEW HEALING PARADIGM TO CONSIDER

Many years ago, while in a meditative state, I suddenly heard an unfamiliar voice in my head  announce ~

'I Am the Light'

Shortly afterwards, I heard sweet little voices repeat my name ~

'Carol, Carol, Carol, Carol . . . '

. . . .and then the voices were gone and I was left in a dead silence.  I opened my eyes and sat motionless as I reflected on the voices.   A friend, who had  suggested I partake in this meditative ritual, had sat across from me and observed my experience.  He finally broke the silence.

"Well, did anything happen?", he inquired.

"I heard a voice say, "I Am the Light". . .  and then other voices who called my name repeatedly."

My friend didn't seem to be impressed.  I rationalized the voices  could have derived from the spiritual dimension, but I was never really convinced that God Him/Herself had actually spoken to me.  Why me?  I certainly didn't  consider myself exceptionally spiritual; nor did I meditate on a regular basis.  My spiritual leanings weren't obsessive.   I had engaged in the ritual to satisfy my friend's  persistent curiosity.  He evidently hadn't been successful with his own attempt to hear from the supernatural.

Having already been introduced to the theory that God was the 'Light' during my esoteric studies, I was aware of the concept and had resonated with it.  Had I heard an echo of my own voice repeating it?  It didn't seem too likely.  The 'I Am the Light' voice was deep and compelling.  The voices that called my name were soft and sweet.  Neither had even the remotest resemblance to my own inner voice.

Through the years, I continued my search for understanding and knowledge.  I always had the need to understand life on a deeper level.  The human condition intrigued me.  Why were we born to live out our lives on this tiny, blue planet lost in a labyrinth of billions of stars and galaxies?   And what dictated the events and people that came in and out of our lives?  They weren't coincidental.  They  were destined to interact and inevitably blend together in some predestined plan.  Seems we all had a 'path' to live, unique to each individual.   If there was a God, what was the relationship between us and Him/Her?

I have been an Astrologer, Numerologist, Tarot Reader, Teacher and Counselor for many years.  It has been very rewarding.   Still, I have to admit, I often reflected on that special message I received many years ago and wondered if God expected me to expound on the info. Fortunately, there were others who did.

Modern Day Healers

There are many wonderful people on the planet dedicated to teaching and healing others with their knowledge of light and energy.  To name just a few, I am speaking of ~

 Caroline Myss, PH.D.
Ron Roth, P
H.D.
Jacob Lieberman, P
H.D.

All are very special to me.  I never met any of them personally but, I have availed myself of their books and lecture tapes.  Each has a special gift.  All have unselfishly shared their profound insights to help others heal emotionally, physically, and spiritually.  They may be contacted via their own individual web sites and I would encourage you to do so.

The unmistakably common theme emanating from their teachings was that the source of all  life radiates from the Divine.  God is Light.  God is Spirit.  We, as humans, are empty vessels.  We can contact the Divine through meditation and prayer. The Divine works through us as well as the Cosmos.  The solar rays of our Sun and stars flood the planet with the Creator's gift of light, penetrating  our physical bodies via our eyes and skin. The powerful energy from this light feeds and nourishes the cells in our bodies and is the source of every breath of life we are permitted to take.  How we use this energy is where our free will is exercised.  If used negatively, we invite sickness and chaos.

Myss is a medical intuitive.   Based on fifteen years of research into energy medicine, her work shows how every illness corresponds to a pattern of emotional and psychological stresses, beliefs, and attitudes that have influenced corresponding areas of the human body.  Her breakthrough model of the body's seven centers (chakras) of spiritual and physical power, in which she synthesizes the ancient wisdom of three spiritual traditions - the Hindu chakras, the Christian sacraments, and the Kabbalah's 'Tree of Life' - demonstrates the stages everyone must pass in the search for higher consciousness and spiritual maturity.  A pioneer in the field of energy medicine, she advises on how we may contact God via our soul.  She believes those who respond to the Divine's calling are today's modern-day Mystics, capable of  administering  healing to those in need as well as to the Self.

Roth, an internationally known teacher, spiritual healer, and modern-day mystic, was a former Roman Catholic priest for more than 25 years.  He is the founder of the 'Celebrating Life Institute' in Peru, Illinois where he resides.  He believes the Holy Spirit is the active force of God's energy guiding and directing us  through our intuition.  He strongly urges us to listen to our intuition.

Lieberman has doctorates in both Optometry and Vision Science.  He believes  that light is the basic component from which all life originates, develops, heals, and evolves and explains how to utilize the therapeutic benefits of light in his published books.  In his exhaustive search on how light  travels through our bodies, he realized its final destination was to unite with  the Pineal Gland.   He then came to the conclusion that this gland  was the CEO of  the Endocrine System and that it is here we may communicate to God when we open our Third Eye in meditation and prayer.

Lieberman introduced light therapy in his work, which involves utilizing specific colors for healing  vision problems, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), cancer, and learning disabilities.  As we continue to discover and understand the role that light plays in our lives, its use as both a therapeutic and preventive tool will become more evident.

Fascinating stuff!

I am just scratching the surface.  There is so much more each of these avatars has expounded on.

By writing this article, perhaps I have finally responded to the message I received so long ago.  I hope so.

Regards ~
